Endowment Fund

As a still-young organization in its 16th Season, the Heartland Festival Orchestra remains proud of the strong community support that has empowered us and allowed us to bring creative and inspiring symphonic performance year after year. To ensure the orchestra will last well into the future, the Board is proud to share this opportunity to provide your long-term support – the Heartland Festival Orchestra Endowment Fund, created in response to an initial leadership gift by Sharon and John Amdall, and grown by additional gifts over subsequent years.

The Endowment Fund provides a reliable source of funds to back up the HFO's operating budget, and was an important resource during the financial stress created by effects on performance by the COVID pandemic. No income or principal from the Fund shall be used for any other purpose than music performance, music education, or musical outreach. No income or principal from the Fund shall be used for any purpose that would be inconsistent with the HFO's standing as a charitable, 501(c)(3) not-for-profit institution.

Endowment Management

A separate Endowment Fund committee of the HFO Board of Directors have been established to work with the Endowment Fund manager, Morgan Stanley Wealth Management.

Contributions to the Endowment Fund are separate from donations to the annual operating budget. We appreciate and rely on your yearly donations to keep our annual budget balanced! Contributions to the endowment or the annual operating budget are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Please consult your tax advisor for specific advice on the tax-deductibility of charitable contributions.

With deep gratitude to all Donors to the Endowment Fund!
