A Message to Patrons and Friends of the Heartland Festival Orchestra

The Heartland Festival Orchestra, in consideration of the health and safety of our patrons, musicians, and staff, and in light of the guidelines relative to COVID-19 issued at both the federal and state levels, has decided to postpone and reschedule the Season 11 concerts scheduled for March 21 and April 18, 2020. In addition the event on March 22 at the Betty Jayne Brimmer Center has been canceled.

The State and the City are encouraging that community events of 250 people or more should be cancelled or postponed until May 1. State of Illinois COVID-19 statement

Subscribers and patrons who have already purchased tickets to these concerts will have three options:

  • Donate the value of the tickets – on a fully tax-deductible basis.

  • Receive a transferrable voucher to use at the rescheduled concert, or another future HFO concert

  • Request and receive a refund of the ticket price.

Inquiries can be directed to:

It is our hope that this action, along with the many cancellations and re-configurations of business, educational, and social habits and customs currently under way, will contribute to the rapid reduction and elimination of the threat and spread of the virus.

We regret the delay of these wonderful concerts, and the inconvenience caused by their postponement – but look forward to seeing you 'on the other side' of this pause!

Sincerely yours,

Gary P. James
President
