Maestro Commanday will be the guide as you hear how Beethoven’s genius comes together. This unique concert is staged in the re-imagined, elegant warehouse space of Venue Chisca, with audience seating among the musicians. This provocative music experience removes the boundaries that have held musicians and audience apart for centuries. Also on the program – Beethoven’s 1st Symphony and Coriolan Overture.

Featuring American masterworks by George Gershwin and Morton Gould, this evening will be packed with both fun and inspiration. Color Guard, American Salute, An American in Paris, Pops Hoedown, and Rhapsody in Blue, played by brilliant young American pianist Llewellyn Sánchez-Werner – plus Sousa’s Stars & Stripes, conducted by the HFO’s “Guest Celebrity Maestro”.

A program of great musical story telling to delight the imagination of all ages. The tale of plucky young Peter’s battle of wits with the Wolf, the quirky caricatures of Carnival of the Animals, and Poulenc’s humorous Concerto for Two Pianos make for a fun and light-hearted concert adventure. Featuring local radio celebrity Greg Batton as narrator, as well as piano soloists Victor Cayres and Paul Johnston.
