THE HEARTLAND FESTIVAL ORCHESTRA
IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE OUR INAUGURAL

MUSICAL CARAVAN IN-SCHOOL PERFORMANCES

At: Charter Oak Primary School and Quest Charter Academy
Tuesday, November 29, 2011

Concert Times
Charter Oak: 11 AM,
Quest Charter Academy: 1 PM and 2 PM

The concert is a fun introduction to the orchestra and its instruments!  Maestro Commanday will host the program, and do a little conducting practice and make some music with the entire audience. 

Program to include:
“Winter”, from the Four Seasons, by Antonio Vivaldi (1678 – 1741)
Solo Violin: Sarah Gentry

“Carnival of the Animals” Excerpts, by Camille Saint-Saens (1835 – 1921)

Appalachian Spring Suite, by Aaron Copland (1900 – 1990)

Orange Blossom Special, by Ervin T. Rouse (1917- 1980)
(the “fiddler’s national anthem”)

The programs will be presented in the gymnasium of each school.
Quest Charter Academy Student Admissions have been sponsored generously by
Glen and Polly Barton.
